WARNING:
This post is all about the beach and features many pictures of Dan and I enjoying the sun.
If you are suffering through a snow/ice/sleet storm you may want to wait to view this post until spring.
Aahhh the beach.
At about 11pm on Friday night we decided to head to the beach for the weekend. Because, as we said to each other, when you live only an hour and a half from the coast it's almost a crime not to go as often as possible. So we headed out bright and early Saturday morning for Jaco, the same town we went last weekend. When we arrived the beach we went for a lovely walk, found some lunch, and waited for the sunset. Here are some photos from our lovely lovely afternoon.
Found a dead blowfish! Oooh
So then the sunset happened. Wow.
Look at the dog!
Now the dog is watching the surfers.
This morning we enjoyed a bit of the beach before we were totally overwhelmed by a downpour and headed out a bit early. Central Americans do not sleep in--- when I went for a nice early walk at 9am it was already packed with families (and surfers!). Unfortunately, I couldn't get a shot with them in it.
Aside from our fun beaching, everything else down here is great. Both Dan and I are hard at work and finding some time to try to get to know San Jose. I'm happy to report that our first visitors-- Greg and Leah-- arrive in 8 days! We're so excited to explore Manuel Antonio National Park with them. Woohoo!
Hope you're all staying warm up north!
Besos y Abrazos,
Jill y Dan
I want that beach dog. He's so adorable.
